All he's really doing is customizing. The clips are put on the opposite side, but it's not like the liner lock is reversed on linerlocking knives...

True, but I'll tell you that even as a righty with a very dumb left hand I can easily close a right handed liner or frame lock with my left hand. I even bought a lefty Kershaw Random Task once because it was only $50, and I could close it just fine right handed. I think the big issue is the clip and thumb studs when you're talking about ambidextrous capability.

i agree with this completely, being a lefty all i really ask for is a left handled clip and dual thumbstud. i can close a right handed liner lock as well as a left handed one
