Sure enough, that isn't a trick of the light, that really is a fuller. The fuller gives it a great look and a suprisingly light weight for such a monsterous knife! It also has a beautiful grain to the horn that the picture doesn't show. Overall, excellent fit and finish all over, including the karda and chakma. I like the workmanship on the scabbard on my BAS a bit better than this one, but really nothing to complain about.

I took her out back for a little workout a few days ago. Deciding against chopping down the trees in my backyard, I ventured over to the pile of firewood in the side yard. I chopped a few pieces of wood apart with ease, but one time my stroke went too far and ended up right into the dirt. It sort of munched up the tip a bit, but nothing a little sharpening wouldn't fix. I put a piece of plywood down on the ground and continued the lumber massacre. I was able to chop through 3" round dried roots with little trouble. I tried chopping into a piece of 2x4, but when the stroke fell, the piece blew apart!

Overall, I'm very happy! At $100, the 20" AK out chops anything else I have ever seen, let alone owned! (that includes my Battle Rat)

I also have a 20" AK by Sher. They are a power to behold, that is for sure. Mine weighs in at 44oz, and at that weight it does all of the work as long as I guide it carefully! The HI khuk has become one of my favorite tools. There seems to be one for every occasion. Glad to hear that you are enjoying yours as much as I do mine!!:D

Looks like a great khukuri. I've got an 18" AK by Sher and a 25" by Kumar, but no 20" yet. I think a 20" will be my next purchase.
