30" Ang Khola - 300$ shipped (paypal preferred, no additional fee's). It cost 300$ from HI when I bought it, I'll eat the additional shipping costs.
This will be shipped via either priority or fedex ground at my discretion. I do not ship outside of the united states.

Up for sale here is a Himalayan Imports 30" Ang Khola khukuri by Sher. I bought this back in 2004 or 2005. When I got it I did an acid edge on the Ang Khola and Karda's blade to see the hamon line. It's feint, but you can still see a bit of it in the photo of the blade. The hamon is about 3/8" tall and 10" long, covering the sweet spot from the center of the blades belly to straight under the corner of the spine at the bend. The balde is an even satin finish, but there are a few points of polishing where the wood of the sheath rubs against the blade as it is taken out and resheathed. The karda looks pretty rough and could use some sanding to get rid of the grinder marks and give it the same even satin (it was rough from HI, even before the acid etch). The blade finish isn't in perfect pristine condition, but no HI khukuri ever is. This has never been used or sharpened. It has one of the thinnest edge grinds I've seen from an HI khukuri, even though it's also one of the biggest khukuries they make/have made.

The only damage to the khukuri is on the back tip of the pommel swell. It's a small 1/8" chip out of the wood that was knocked off during shipping. It doesn't effect the stability of the handle, but it is noticeable. The sheath has some roughened spots from being moved from house to house over the last 6 years.

Overall length straight line from tip to pommel - 30.5"
Overall length along the spine - 32"
Blade length straight line from tip to guard- 22"
Blade length from tip to cho along edge - 20"
Blade thickness right after guard - 1/2"

Blade thickness at corner of bend - 7/8": is that a typo? Can you post a pic of the spine?

That was indeed a typo, was meant to be 7/16" at the bend. After looking closer with a better ruler, It is closer to 13/32". I'll try to upload pics shortly.

This might not look that thin - but it's nearly a true zero edge. Though the angle might not seem that acute, it makes for a very thin tip and the entire edge is the same, very thin for a knife this large.

A very formidable blade. None of mine compare lengthwise. Wish I had the bucks for that sucker. Hope it finds a good home soon.
