Greetings all -- just wanted to stop by and say hello. I don't have any hinderer knives (yet!) as they are pretty tough to track down. I've been eying the zt 0560.... That being said, I picked up a Hinderer Aluminum Extreme Tactical Pen at the USN gathering last year. I've enjoyed it so much I bought myself a stainless investigator - great little instrument and have a brass extreme duty on order. I've never collected nice pens before -- but these pens have bitten me pretty deep collector wise.... I think a need a few ti models next :)
Their quality to price ratio is plain great. I've gotten a few compliments at work - and I work in a fairly formal environment.

Good choices. I like my Investigators. Always have one in my pocket as a backup pen. Becomes primary when a bigger Pen makes less sense.
I am still back ordered on my 0560 and 0561. Oh, well, I a few XMs to keep me busy till the ZT's arrive.

Oh, and welcome to the Hinderer fun!

I want a stainless investigator soooo bad, heh. It's too bad I can't use my Amazon credit for one!

Must keep saving.

 Great choice, I've had a few "tactical" pens, My Aluminum Extreme Duty is my favorite.

Next is the Titanium Extreme Duty Flamed Pen.

This is my tactical pen.

1st year Parker 51 (1941) this one is a veteran.

These Hinderer pens are interesting, my preference is for fountain pens but I may just have to pick one of these up.

Amusingly enough my boss needed to borrow my pen yesterday (the investigator) - he looked it over and asked me to send him a link where he can buy it :)

Muahahaha, Big fan of Hinderer Pens!! I will have to get around to photgraphing it and sharing its use!!

I received my brass extreme duty on Saturday. I love it :) In particular I really like how heavy it is for its size. Its pretty funny to hand it to people...
It writes really smoothly. I find for day to day office use so far I am keeping my stainless investigator stuck in my moleskine for notes and my brass extreme duty clipped into my left pocket when I about without the notebook. Yes, I have two hinderers at work - I like em that much.

Now I just need to figure out when to use my aluminum XD... I am reserving purchasing a extreme duty titanium for the next USN gathering.

Just got my SS pen yesterday. I can't even express how cool it is, definitely the most appealing pen I've ever had.

I ordered an aluminum investigator last night. Can't wait to get it. But I already have a bit of buyer's remorse. I wish I had ordered the brass. Maybe I'll order one of those after Blade.

I like the brass. Aluminum versions get carried as backup to a larger clicky pen or when I travel.

Man....I should have ordered the brass. Oh well. Nothing wrong with having multiples right?

Speaking of o-rings, what size is the 0-ring that ships with the pen originally? I want to grab an extra but I don't know the size. Is the #5 specified in the linked thread the same one? I was a bit confused by the wording. Thank you.

I have no idea. None of my Hinderer pens shipped with any o-rings.

Weird. I'd noticed a few of them in some of the YouTube reviews (like here). Mine came with one, also.
