Hi everyone!
First post for me.
I have a Damascus Hobbit Warrior.
The problem I have is with the Sheath.
The serrations on the blade ate through the front of the sheath.
When the knife is drawn out of the sheath the serrations on the blade cut through the kydex.
Is this a common problem?
Is there a warranty covering repair or replacement?
Can I buy a replacement?
Do I have to send the knife back for fitting?
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Ray, I don't know how you've been practicing with your knife or what style you are using. I done classes with Bob and been using a HW for over foru years and have never had this problem. It has never even entered my mind that it could happen. You made my day. Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing you I'm just interested in haw you did it. I'm sure you woll not have a problem getting it repalced call Bob.

Cheers,

hi,
i have a green coated hobbit. how many were made. i got it 3years ago.thanks

Hi,
I must have a very early Damascus Hobbit (no markings on the blade).
The top of the Kydex sheath clamps on the knife so tightly, it is almost impossible to draw the knife.
In fact I need both of my hands to get the knife out of the sheath.
The Kydex belt loop was bent (while on the belt) trying to remove the knife.
All the damage was done to the sheath before I bought the knife.
I bought the knife as is.
I want to wear the knife on my right side with a right hand draw.
The blade faces forward, with the serrations toward the back.
The serrations pull accross the back of the sheath as you struggle to get the knife out.
I am considering having a custom sheath made. But if the newer sheaths are better than the one I have, I am willing to give it a try.
I called Bob a while back and received no response.

Crazy Ray,

I have sveral Hobbit Warriors and all the sheaths function perfectly. Sounds like the previous owner modified/broke the sheath. If you are having trouble contacting REKAT or simply want a custom sheath for your Hobbit, email me.
