I was wondering what you all use to carry around your guns on your belt? I did some searching and came up with lots of stuff but was wondering what you guys prefer.

Are you asking what type/ make belt we carry our guns/ gear on? Or what type holster, pouches, etc. we carry on our belts?? Or both??

Oh sorry bout that. I'm talking about what kind of belt you carry your guns on. Whether its handguns or long guns.

I wear an Avanti gun belt that has a holster sewed into the inside of the belt but I use it mainly to carry my fixed blades as it works well for concealment with knives but poorly for handguns.

If you are asking what belt I use fo when I am carrying a gun CCW; I have a Desantis gun belt. I carry my weapon IWB; the belt works great!

I prefer and have used for many years, the synthetic woven belts made by www.thewilderness.com These are top quality belts that will outlast leathers by many times over. These belts are light, rot resistant, durable and strong. These are not the typical flimsy single ply stuff such as ones made for BDUs. They are double layered made with top quality sewing. Take a close look at the stuff at their website.

For dress or "non tactical" occassions, I choose my Milt Sparks leather. Go to www.miltsparks.com Their belts are cut at a contour for a more comfy fit and help to eliminate that typical belt kink at your backside position. The glued and sewn double layer is the key to a stiff enough belts to hold all your gear without having to experience that "sagging pants" feeling!

Whether its your sidearm, spare magazine, fix blade, flashlite holder, cuffs, these belts will do their job quite well.

For non-concealed carry, I use one of two belts that are roughly equivalent. One is from El Paso Saddlery (www.epsaddlery.com/) the other from San Padro Saddlery (www.sanpedrosaddlery.com/). They are 1 & 1/2" wide to handle the weight comfortably. For CCW I carry either in a bottom draw shoulder holster (38 snubnose) or a belt slide (Galco) (Glock 21 in 400 Corbon) in a custom made top grain leather belt (1 & 1/4"). I'm a big guy so it's easy to hide the outline.

Wilderness belt here (because I can't stand leather). Strong, affordable and long lasting. Add to that a nice kydex rig and don't look back.

I wear The Wilderness' instructors belt.

I also carry my weapon in Kydex.

No sag.

for any kind of carry on my belt I use a good quality 1 3/4 inch leather belt that is between 1/8" - 1/4" thick works well, or I use a Bianchi duty belt with a Black Hawk "Omega 6" thigh holster. Otherwise if I am going to be wearing a jacket I use a Bianchi "shark" shoulder holster. Usually I carry concealed on my belt with a high rise holster that uses spring retention (this was a custom holster made by an Officer of the Lincoln City Police Dept in Oregon), each half is spring steel sandwiched between leather and both halfs sewn together to make the holster, or els I carry a Galco S.O.B (small of back) holster right hand draw, pistol butt up configuration with a minor cant.
