Homemade pricking iron for leatherwork

Here's an idea for anyone who wants to make their own custom pricking irons for leather work. Get yourself some cheap spade bits... Soften the end of the bit with a propane torch and then using a bandsaw and files, cut out and form the prongs. This beats the heck out of trying to make a punch out of old kitchen utensils. These spade bit punches are super strong, cheap to make and they work great!
