This model is sure growing on me big time. Shown here is an active duty knife. Its on its way back to service life now all up and done to order just as requested by the owner. No permanent modifications were made to any of the factory parts. In fact they are all mailed back including the pocket clip so that in the event the owner wanted to the knife could be reassembled just as it came to me fresh from the factory. The hardware was reused but its all unchanged.

The to do list included:

1)Lock side replaced in slab thickness .160 knifemaker grade titanium. Check
2)Non lock side liner replaced out of .050 thick knife maker grade ti. Check
3)Spacer of .190 thick of same grade ti. Check
4)Imitation ivory scale mailed to me by the owner to replace G10 scale. Check
5)Low Rider Pocket clip from .045 same grade titanium made up by me to fit. Check

In the end it all went together well. More pics and details on my blog of course. Thanks for looking.

All,
The knife above is mine. All I can say about the knife is "Wow".

Steve did an awesome job. It is rare in life when you get more, a lot more, than what you expected, and this sure was true on this Horseman. The photos really do not do the knife justice. I have been a knife freak for many years, and this is one of the nicest folders I have ever owned. The only thing on it that is stock is the blade.

The fit and finish of the ti frame lock is perfect. The lock up is like a bank vault. It is a stout lock. I makes the same authoritative "clunk" that my Reeve Seb makes. Zero blade blade, and the blade is centered perfectly in between the liners.

The Ti back-spacer is a Ti work of art. The jimping on it matches the lock bar, and Steve set it up just enoung to make it effective for what it is suppose to do, besides looking pretty, it is functional.

The imitation ivory scale is turned out even better than I had hoped for.

I really can not say enough good things about the knife.

As for Steve, he is a prince of a guy. It is not often that you will get a couple of phone calls from a maker, to let you know he is getting started, and to confirm what you want done and how. And then a call to let you know he is done, and make sure he got it all correct, BEFORE he sends it back to you. And he answers his emails, and in a timely fashion.

If I sound really impressed by Steve and the knife, I am. I am a picky, career Marine, and Steve passes the test all the way around. If you are on the fence about sending him a folder, get off of it let him hook you up with a great knife - He is may be just to modest for his own good, but simply put he make a darn fine folder.
