This is a follow-up to a review I did early this year on a Jerry Hossom Bolo-style test blade, review here:

Im posting to show the awesome job he did on re-profiling and strengthening the point on this knife, which was the only weakness my abusive testing turned up. In my first use of this test-blade, stabbing into a mesquite log to break off bark as for kindling, I managed to lock the tip into the wood and snapped off about 5/16" of the point. Im happy to report that I have tested the new point on that same mesquite, and it will stand up to more prying power than I possess! Heres the strengthened point, which makes a veritable spike out of the fully radiused spine:
