How about a 3-inch version of the 560?

The advent of the excellent Kershaw Cryo and the forthcoming Cryo II reminds me just how much I want a version of the ZT 560 with 3-inch blade.

That would really hit the sweet spot for EDCing.

It would be just the thing for all those folks who like the 560 and 550 and want something just as well made but more pocket friendly.

I think Thomas mentioned it might never happen, it has been asked before repeatedly. The reasoning was that ZT knives are designed to be overbuilt, tough, and not for the regular run of the mill user. Hence the Cryo versions, and the 0550s. Some folks complain knives are too big, other tht knives are too small, too heavy, too light, etc. never a happy middle ground. You never know though, unless Thomas says that it is an absolute no.

The Hinderer 3-inchers are complete sell-outs, even at grossly inflated prices. So there seems to be a market. I'm just saying........

Yeah its been discussed a lot, and probably would sell way faster than they'd be able to handle.

Maybe in the future, but it doesn't seem likely any time soon. :)

I totally would love to see one. While I love my 0560, I'd love a smaller version even more.

ME TOO...would be really happy with a 550 size with sculpted scales like the 560...now that would be fantastic EDC...not a real big fan of the flipper tho.

I would absolutely love a smaller version of the 0560. Doesnt even have to be 3 inches. Just a teensy bit smaller than the 0560 so it is actually possible to carry in my skinny jeans. As it is right now, the 0560 does not even fully fit into my jean pocket so I had to sell it. I am not ashamed to say this .

I for one like the fact that the 0560 is made here in the USA...CRYO made in China.
BTW Kawr your avatar is way cool :D

I'd love to see a smaller version of the 0560, but I understand why it will probably never happen. It would be completely opposite of Zt's entire philosophy. We may see a smaller high end Hinderer design, but I'd bet it would be a Kershaw and not a ZT...

I was breaking down a box today with my 560 and a coworker said that he'll remember to be very nice to me from now on :-) Maybe if I used it in meetings to clean my fingernails, I'd get my way more often ;)
