For making us all welcome while this site was down.

I'm proud to be a member here and at Knifeforums.
I think they are the best knife sites on the net.

We knife knuts have to stick together ;-)

I most certainly agree that KnifeForums is a wonderful place and they welcomed us with open arms. Thank you Knifeforums.

You bet, thanks to Knifeforums for lets us come play at their house during the past week.

The knifeforums behaived like great neighbors and went out of their way to make us feel at home. I certainly will make it a point to visit them frequently.

Unfortunately, the reaction was less receptive across the net. At least one site felt it was a WASTE OF BANDWIDTH to even allow a single thread to advise members of the issues we were experiencing on these forums.

It is a good thing we share a real sense of community with the knifeforums.

thats the thing I enjoy about kf.com, it's more or less like a bunch of folks sitting around drinking coffee and chatting... no one acts up, everyone listens, and it's relaxed as all hell.

been there since 11/30/99, about 100posts.

Yup, KF is a nice place who willingly accepts everybody wanting to join in good knife discussion. Hopefully many will show appreciation by also visiting there even though BF is fixed again.

Both forums are worth finding time for.

I can't agree more. I, like everyone else suffering from BF withdrawls, was spending a lot of time on the "other" forums. I found Knifeforums to be a casual, easy-going place to hang out, and I felt comfortable there.

I understand that the old-timers at that other forum had some beefs with BF guys, but why perpetuate that type of negative thinking? Newer members like myself couldn't care less, and just want to hang out and talk about knives. Why make us choose?

Anyway, just my .02, and thumbs up for KF! :D

There is a forum that decided it was best not to have any cross forum references or links with BF. They feel it was better for keeping the peace and they are probably correct. Things were getting way out of hand.

As far as James Nowka and Knifeforums are concerned; he is a class act and Knifeforums is a nice place.

I'm a moderator both here and at KnifeForums, and I have total respect and admiration for the owners of both forums, and I know that there is room on the 'net, and a real need, for both forums...After-all, we all have this "knife-thing" together.:).

Knife forums is a great place just like blade forums! How could you ever have too many places to talk knives. Thanks to Knife Forums and James Nowka. BF and KF RULE!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Well said, Dann. I've been a member here and at KF for a while, and both sites are great. I really appreciate the opportunity to discuss knives with such a great bunch of folks.

Thanks,
Clay

I was totally blown away by KFC's hospitality and look forward to keeping a presence there as well as here. As scarey as the week-end was, it was also an adventure:)

I to am a moderator over at KF.Each forum has it's own style and each plays a very important role in my life as well as the third forum that we speak of. I wouldn't want to be without any of them.Although I have always lived my life with the philosophy of respecting eachother these forums have allowed me to practice what I preach and that is worth the world to me!!

I think the reason KF was so receptive to BF people is that they both had the same person(SPARK, Kevin) working on them and most of the founding members here started out over there. With that in mind I guess you could call Knife Forums the older brother to Blade forums. :)

It's all family no matter where you go really.

Indeed, the KF community was more hospitable than we had a right to expect. One thing the outage helped me do was broaden my horizons a bit, I intend to pop into KF every once in a while as well after this.

I like all the knife related forums, and frequent them all fairly regularly. Bladeforums is #1 though.

Thanks all at Knifeforums for such a warm welcome. Now i'll be spending more time going knife knuts :D

I have been a lurker at Bladeforums and I have finally registered!!! Hurrah!!!
