I`m just wondering how you learned about my knives. Was it:

JK Handmade Knives Website
JK Handmade Knives Forum on Bladeforums
Other forum on Bladeforums (which one)
Backwoodsman Magazine ad
Other (if other, explain where)

Thanks!

I learned about your knives through another member here. I had posted up a thread just before christmas of 09 asking which knife to get because i wanted a woods knife, but also wanted a folder. I think i had asked between a military, paramilitary and rat (esee). Someone sent me over to you, i saw the prices and knives, which i had seen previously on the forums but didn't know who JK was at the time, and was impressed.

I first saw your knives mentioned in the WSS part of BF, then went looking.
One of these days I hope to have a chance to get one of my own - you have some designs I really like.

Hi Stomper -

I joined this site, then I saw one of your posts, noticed you were from Mokena, then I investigated your knives and had to have some.

best regards -

Review Todd A did on thehgihroad.org

Reviews are good draws...you're right on encouraging that John.

I liked the looks of mtnfolk mike's Hiker's Back-up so I ordered one. Bearthedog did some nice early review pieces too.

I posted before from my BlackBerry and I didn't think it went through earlier. Clicked the forum here for the poll as that was what really led to my purchase (and future purchases!). I do look forward to Backwoodsman every month, it's a really cool mag, one of my favorites.

I'd seen your kephart and anniversary knife posted in the ws&s subforum. I liked the looks of them. I didn't know you had your own subforum for a while. After I found out you did, I started hanging out here.

I first saw your stuff in WSS. The knife that triggered my order was last years anniversary knife #1 posted on your site. Good stuff John!

Brandon

Bearthedog did a review of the kephart. I still have it, it was my first of many JK knives.

On the WSS sub-forum, I believe Todd A was the culprit. I inquired on the origin of the blade and you answered.

I can not believe that I am the only one that learned about your site from Backwoodsman Magazine! I'm I the only one that has ever bought a knife from you from there? Wow! I am the only one that has voted for that media! Later!

I know of at least one other here who bought from the ad, but I have not seen him around. I actually believe about 20% of my newer orders are coming from there.

Hello All, I saw the add, among others ,in Backwoodsman Magazine. I then went to all of the websites from the adds I was interested in. Once I got to your website, I was hooked. I think the Backwoodsman gets your name out there, for me, It got you "on my map" , but your website with photos etc closed the deal. I had never gone to Blade forums before purchasing my first JK. I know as a perspective buyer, I really looked hard at the "comments" section of John's website. I would suggest some of us from here should post our total satisfaction with John's work on that website as well. It helped me make the leap. Can't wait to comment on the two knives i have ordered! I think i might even try the picture posting thing in the next week or so!
Thanks John
Dan

My experience was a blend. I was referred to BF by another member (PorcupineMtns66) & he also talked about JK knvies. I was also a regular surfer of WSS, where I saw postings from you. Then a week or so later I was flipping through a friends copy of Backwoodsman & saw the ad. I think this was right before the May Gathering. I can take a hint when it's repeated like that, coincidence shmoincidence.

Good to hear that some orders are coming in from the ad in Backwoods man. I feel almost embarrassed to say that I learned of your knives through WSS since it is now such a mess over there.
