This is the question: how do you center a blade so taht it wouldn't grind with liner

that question has different answers..depending on the specific
knife. generally..a blade centers from 2 causes..one..the
shims or washers used..some knifes have large and skinny ones
in the same knife..get them backwards..it will never center..
some times..you have to add or take away one..
and.. the piviot screws..they are sometimes the reason too..
lets say that you have the washers in correct..and that their
just what the knife needs..so all thats left is the piviot screws..
what you have to do if the blade is still offcenter..open the blade...and then
loosen both screws untill the blade is floppy..then..
tighten the screw on the side the blade is off center to and pointing to the most....all the
way tight...then go to the opposite side..( blade still open) tighten up all the way..
then back it off just till the blade will move
and close the blade..now check the center..tighten that last screw
you just did more or less..untill it centers and opens and closes
correctly... also make sure this whole thing isnt caused by an off center ground blade ( you can look down on it closed..and it will
be obvious if that is the case..blade will be thicker left or right
of center
ive seen it happen...)
also check the rear end screws..make sure liner screws are snug..
also check down in blade and piviot area to make sure a pocket clip
screw isnt too long and pushing the blade off center by sticking out
thru the liner.. well.. i hope this helps..dm
