How has the internet changed the way you do business? need knife maker input

I'm doing a research paper for my internal business class on "how the internet has affected the knife business." Please tell me what you can about how the internet has changed the way you do business. Details would be great!

The internet is like one longggg ongoing knife show with lots of people looking and the occasional one buying.

I look at it as a way to reach out beyond my home market. The forums provide a way to meet and chat with knife buyers exactly the same as I do at shows.

I'll go along with George. The internet allows you to show your product to someone on the other side of the world. You get responses from said customers right away too.
In short, it opens your business to far more people faster.

Actually, it lets only lets more people have see your work. I have only had a web site about a month and it isn't quite done so I really have not been in it long enough to tell. One thing it does for the maker is to do the best you can. Hopefully in the not to distant future, there will be some sales generated because of the site. Local sales and returning customers have generally kept me fairly busy. Ray Kirk
