my knife habits (collecting) all started when my Grandmother gave me my Grandfathers knife (two bladed cattargus, serpentine jack) when he died in 1973, I was only four. To say the least it only took three days to lose it!! but the three days of whittling had me hooked!!!

how long ago, and how (what circumstances) did you guys get hooked in knives also?????

:)

I didn't answer on the other post, at least I don't think I did, and to tell the truth I think I was born with the desire for knives. I don't really remember any one event occuring that set the fires going, I just remember always liking knives ever since I can remember. For my birthdays, from age 8 or 9, it was always a knife. At Christmas time, always a knife somewhere in the mix. My dad and I sorta collected knives together during the mid to late 70's when all those commementives were coming out. Most of those really ended up as flops. But I always enjoyed knives. As said, I think it must be in my genes, because it surely is in my jeans!!  ;) :D

Hello all. A different kind of how long. I'm new to bladeforum and don't want to get a bad name here. So heres my "how long?' after several e mail my last one to him with my offer and no responce in three days. I found the same knife from someone else and would like to get one. thanks guns

I have been into knives for several years, since I was a little kid. But it was only recently that I find out what a quality knife is. I owned mainly China and Pak. POS knives, and then one day I came upon this place. And now I eat, drink and sleep knives. I even quiz my wife on makers, models and things of that nature so we don't grow apart. :D When I found this place about 4 1/2 months ago I had a few cheap knives and a MOD, Now the photo below is what I had as of last month, You can add a few to that :D

There is one knife I would like from my younger days however. It was a Terminator II knife from United. Anyone got a line on one??:)
