How to determine knife vintage?

Hi everyone. I was curious if there was a way to determine the vintage of a Schrade Old TImer 1250T? It was a knife that was given to me by my grandfather. He passed away some years ago, but I never knew when he got this knife. There doesn't appear to be any identifying markings. The tang stamp says only "Schrade USA 1250T". Is there anything I can look at (shape of the handle, amount of Derlin vs. metal, etc.) that I might use to put an approx. date on this?

If you go to the manufacturers section, scroll down to the bottom and you will find the Schrade subforum....
