I think you would disassemble much like I disassemble my AR. You will need a hex wrench for the pivot bolt, and I do not know the size right off, but if you have a standard set you should have the corect one in it. There may be a problem with the pivot spinning since the female part is not locked in, a least it isn't on the AR. If that is the case, and you don't have the pivot wrench from Peer Atwood, you will ned to improvise. This is what I would do; place the knife in a pot of water and boil it on the stove for 10 minutes, yep I said boil. This will soften the loc-tite and allow the bolt to come out. If the pivot is still presenting a problem, go ahead an take out the frame screws, then go back to the pivot and take a flathead screwdriver with the tip padded, place it inside the frame, twist it slightly to apply pressure, then unscrew the pivot.

Once you have all the bolts out theknife will come apart fairly easy. Just take your time and place each piece where yu can find it. I always line up my frame screws so that they go back in te hole they came out of. You will have two washers, and your stop pin/blade stop may come out, don't lose it! Then commence to polishing the liners where the washers fit, and thn the blade tang where the washers fit, and finally the washers themselvs. I have done the exact same thing to my AR and the improvement was noticeable, although the knife has a great action before I did the polishing.......I just can't seem to let a good thing go.

I have a second AR coming at the end of Jan, and will be doing the same to it. My current AR has the tiger stripes, but I have modified it to my liking and I wanted to have an AR that wa stock. The new AR has the digicam ghost finish.

Anyway, let us know how it goes! Good luck:thumbup::thumbup::D

BTW....The frame screws should be a #8 torx
