I just visited their web site. Their knives look pretty impressive. I know they were at the recent Blade Show. Did anyone get to check them out? Will they be a major player in the knife market?
Thanks
You may remember that we broke the news about Speed-Tech back in February at the SHOT show. The fact that they won this award in the short amount of time since then only reinforces our statements: This company is going places quickly
We had a really fun time at the show having them right next to us, and we'll be writing more up about them in the near future.
Also, Jim was kind enough to donate a Synergy for a forums giveaway so look for that coming real soon!

The Synergy is a great knife and solid. Has a blade geometry similar to the kff, though not as long or as wide. The handle is solid machined aluminum. The lock.. well, I am not an engineer but it held solid (though I didn't want to do spine tab with Jim watching.
).
Order one now, especially the one's with the Elizewitz ground tanto blades (if they have any left) and you got a collector's item.
RJT picked up a black handled Synergy at the show. This is one tough knife! The company is not only going places, they're already there. Tight lock-up and buttery smooth, I WILL be getting one (after Senator gets his blue one).
The synergy is a kick *** knife! I purchased 9 custom tacticals and 7 factory knives at the Bladeshow. The only knife I have carried since is the synergy with an Elishewitz blade. It is the most comfortable knife I have ever carried. When tucked in the waistband it sits low and has a thin profile with not one sharp edge when folded. Ditto for in the pocket. The lockup is SOLID and overall costruction makes it a tank. I highly recommend that you purchase one if the design appeals to you. The only flaw in this otherwise perfect knife is that the thumbstuds are little slick to the touch and this requires some getting used to. I e-mailed Jim at SpeedTech and he replied that they wil be changing this. Everyone I show it too loves the design, even non knifers. It seems to me that this knife is a homerun.
Yes, these are very good knives. Perhaps the Micro-Tech of the future for those who are not fans of automatics. I was favorably impressed with them and expect them to do well.
The Speed-Tech knives were very impressive. I wanted a burgandy one soooooo bad. But I had no money for knives this time. If you can, get one. The whole knife is well thought out, and like others have said, lock up is solid. I don't know how strong their lock is, but I could not budge the blade at all. The clip is impressive also. The way it locks on to your pocket is cool. The thing I was wondering is if the clip could be stuck on the other end. They mentioned something that is going to make the knives even better, but I don't know if I can discuss it. They didn't saw it was a secret, but I kinda guessed it.
