I know a lot of people like to mod the Cold Steel tomahawks, but I have yet to see any info on the Cold Steel axe, the "Trail Boss." Does anybody have one? Is it worth picking up?

Thanks!

it's a good, cheap, thin-bit forest axe IMHO.

my teenaged boys really loved them.

HTH.

That does look like a good thin bit, Cold Steel surprises me again and again.
Gonna google the specs right now.

What did you pay, vec? It's a little over 50 bucks on a Canadian site I just checked.

i'm a Cold Steel dealer, so i got it wholesale, intending to test it for a handles program.

50 bucks seems a little steep to me, even in Canadian.

maybe i am wrong though... i wouldn't want to insult anyone who sells them - especially since good service is worth paying extra for IMHO.

The one I have came with a loose head which I repaired, also it wasn't too sharp so I sharpened it. As for me Cold Steel products require attention especially sharpening, unlike S.A.Wetterlings which arrived ready for work.
