This is one of my nicer knives - a 5" hunter forged from 52100 - two visible temper lines - mokume guard - Ironwood spacers & Butt Cap with mosaic pin - stag handle. Dave did a "masterful" job on this - work is close to perfection & design is beautiful IMHO! For a large hunter the balance & handling need to be felt to be believed - the knife becomes an extension of your hand, not an object sitting in your hand. Wonderful work from a fine maker & gentleman - Dave is a real pleasure to work with!

Somebody has been raiding my wish list.
First the Fisk, then the Mayo now one of Dave's.

Congratulations Chilly-Bird! Owning a great knife is one thing. Owning a great knife from someone you enjoyed meeting and dealing with takes it to an even higher level for me.

Boy, first I covet Ellis' collection, now I lust for a collection of Ellises!

Beautiful knife, PENGUIN!

I am indeed flattered, thanks for all of your kind words,

Dave, I think I better add you to my list of Mastersmiths to get a knife from. Nice work!

Thanks for sharing Penguin.

Hey Para,
Check out some of Daves Work in Weyers' Points of Interest (especially book 5)
Those will put you over the top and meeting Dave will just be icing on the cake.
