Please help support Senate Bill S.2978. It helps ensure that hunters get priority, for tags which are limited, for those who live in the state as opposed to non-residents. (Residents will have higher priority than non-residents.) Unnless you're a rich guy who hunts out of state for trophys a lot, you should support this bill, please call or contact you senator/congessman or somebody and let them know how you feel about this. Otherwise, USO (some nationwide outfitter) will attack your state, with a lawsuit which will end up with tags only being available to non-residents, the probability of getting drawn for a resident will be slim and if you do get drawn your tags will cost a fortune. This is in USO's intersest because out of state, non-residents will use their service, and the more out of staters that get tags, the more business USO will get. They are trying to make hunting a rich mans sport. So, if you hunt and care about the future of your sport especially in you state of residency, please take a few simple steps to contact a senator and voice your opinion on this important issue. I feel that we (ordinary hunters) are going to be undersold by the lobbying of USO who will line the pockets of these senators. We have to let our voices be heard.
