I am broke but it is going to be a good Christmas. My dream as a kid was to live out my life in or near the wilderness whenever I found it. I ended up working as a remote fire guard in the summer and cutting firewood in the winter. When I was 24 I returned to my home town of Prescott Arizona for a visit and met a who changed every thing. Twenty six years later we have 4 daughters and five grandsons . Two of our daughters are adopted and we have had a had foster children much of the time. We have four month old and three year old sisters that have been with us for the last three months. It is truly amazing the change they have made since they have come to with us.
I am convinced that there is nothing more satisfying than raising children that turn out to be well balanced productive s.
Over fifteen relatives have moved here since I came to Alaska. They will all be here tomorrow at one time or other.
I think back and realize that my life has turned out much better than I could have ever wished.
