I am sorry I will never buy any knife except one made in the USA like all the rest that I have purchased over the years...........:)

seal, i think it would be best to try not to start the drama here, if this thread is about what im assuming(by your recent posts, in a certain forum) :P

That's too bad because you'll only be cheating yourself of some fine knives produced elsewhere.
I don't really care where a product is made as long as it's of good quality and good value for the money. It's your choice what products you buy based on the country of origin but in my humble opinion that sort of thinking just seems a bit ignorant to me because you're missing out on some amazing quality product produced in other countries.
Don't get me wrong, I love my brothers and sisters to the south, heck my mom and brother live in the US. Neither of them are American by birth but my brother even joined the US Army and served in South Korea and Sadr City, Iraq for a year each. I just get tired of hearing these Made in America, America is the best, yada yada yada statements on a forum that caters to international members. It's a slap in the face to non American participants of this forum.

Anyhow, good luck with that.

Plenty of great products from other countries, don't think this started so much because of a nation. Just not stated as such.

I got my respect for Canadians on an ice rink in the U.P. of Michigan at the age of 12. Was like playing against a mens hockey team.

They're more than happy to think Italy or Canada or Mexico is the greatest country in the world. Those are the differences that make this country great. Oh, there I go again. :D

There's plenty of junk made here in the US, just like the rest of the world. The fact that other counties let it be made by slave labor and not unions is up to them.

Here's a conundrum for you;

A knife made by an American company in America...built by illegal workers!

And you can't deny the amazing Swiss Army knives!

So.....not only must it be made in the USA, it must also be made by Union Labor. Look at where that got Chrysler and GMC or out bankrupt cities for that matter.

And............all the finest watches are swiss made too!

Sigh......I'm not going to lie, I LOVE my SAK Farmer.............and my OH Trekker.....and... Oh NEVERMIND!

I prefer to buy American, also, I live and work here.

BUT

I drive a Toyota truck.
I use Glock handguns.
The Swiss have the market cornered on axes.
I'm not a fan of Chinese products but what else is there at Walmart.

Buy the best product you can get. IMO

Swiss axes?
GB & Wetterlings are Swede axes -- or is there another really popular brand I've missed?

I came over here from the "other forum" to get a break from laughing. Looks like someone is taking a public crap on the esee forum too. Whether it be about their knives or not.

i'm not here to harass you at all.
I've sent my request to return the "other" knife,
:D

Germany, japan, Canada, Sweden are all great examples of countries that easily match and often surpas the quality of knives/axes made in the US not too mention tons of other products so to write off other countries because they aren't the one you live in is kinda ignorant IMHO but it is your choice where you buy things from
