You guys know I am not a big fan of cold steel . It is not that all their products are bad it is that there is no such thing as a quality level . One product can be great and the next two can be absolute dogs .

I wanted a khukuri thrower but didn,t want to bang up one of my good kukuris . What to do ? Heck cold steel has a khuk/machete for 14 bucks . No matter if it is not that good its only 14 bucks . I received it and It was no better than expected but not that bad at all . A simple stamped out flat shape with a simple ground edge . Handle is abominable of course they call it rubber and P:V:C: all at the same time . It sure don,t seem too rubbery to me . Its got a hard plasticky rough feel to it with that pommel swell that many khuks have , Good for hanging onto . Lousy for throwing . I think I,ll try and file the pommel round or replace the handle . Aside from the handle issue it throws great . It has a different rate of rotation but when that sucker hits it sticks like glue . I think that once that handle issue is resolved I will have a neat inexpensive thrower .

"Lousy for throwing...it throws great."

I'm confused. Is the handle texture lousy for throwing (rough on the hand), yet the weapon still flies well?

Sounds like cheap PVC.

i think he means a different handle design would be better for throwing, but otherwise the knife overall throws fine.

Its fine for throwing though I am only doing a single rotation for the moment .
The handle is atrocious . You know what a kukuuri pommel can look like . You have that large swell slipping out of your hand last thing and so any contact will throw off the blades travel . Let me experiment with it a bit more . I will proabably try grinding it down and see if the seam weld goes all the way through . If The handle comes apart I will proabably just wrap some rawhide around the tang or maybe slap some glue on and wrap the handle itself in rawhide .

The American Tomahawk V.T.A.C'S throw Great and hold up Great ..
Ordered a H B Forge throwing knife but not received yet...
