Here I was, completely oblivious to the awesomeness of the Buck 110. Fortunately, I know this dude by the name of Guyon(you may have heard of him:D) who was generous enough to send me one of his. He told me he has "a couple of them":D

I have a few knives myself, yet I have never got around to picking one up. My first impression, beefy. This thing feels solid, and with the history behind the design, I know it's quality. It's too bad I have to go throw it in the trash because some worker put an Idaho stamp on it. I already threw away a couple Sebenza's due to these random Idaho markings popping up on knives. :p

You've probably seen enough of these, but here she is anyways.

Guyon, thanks bud.

Oh yeah, and first Buck forum post. :D

The 110 is an awesome piece of knife, no doubt. And in my view the best value in all of knifedom. Nice gesture on Brother Guyon's part.

Welcome Rob! I hope you'll get a chance to use that 110, come back for a visit anytime and stay a while.

Now you have a good excuse to smell like Brasso. Glad it got there safely.
Soon you'll find yourself scouring eBay for two-dots, and creating fantasy combos over at the Custom Shop.

The 110 is the best folder for the money bar none as is the 119 for fixed blades IMHO.

Throw that Idaho stamped 110 away in my trash can please:)

Actually, that 2005 date stamp is considered my many to be very collectible.

Congrats 5.56 & welcome....to the portion of the planet w/ higher intelligence:cool:. Glad you have a friend like Gunyon:thumbup: I'm readying for a trip....and a 110 will be traveling....don't leave home without it:D

Hi 5.56,

Welcome to the Buck forum....what is 5.56 for? ;)

Very cool of guyon to start you out with your first 110. I'll bet it will not be your last as they are addictive. As said above I never leave home without a Buck knife or two on my person. A tempest clipped to my pocket and a AG 110 on my belt.

Heck yeah,The Idaho stamp is a plus imho.I think maybe Rob was joking about the stamp because some CRK fans are crying about his new Idaho stamp?Anyhow welcome to the Buck forum Rob and as for Guyon, way to go.:)

Quoted for truth. I prefer knives that are homegrown

Heck, I was born and raised on a 1600 acre farm in Iowa.

I'm thinking 5.56 means a lot of dead coyotes on a 1600 acre farm in Iowa.....welcome to the Buck forum!

Very cool Rob... I like the Idaho stamp, and the Bucks are definitely a very solid knife. Now, you gotta try a 112, then you will really be hooked.

Hi 5.56,

Welcome to the Buck forum....what is 5.56 for? ;)

Here in SoCal it's only used on paper targets and inanimate objects. Eventually I will be getting some property in Texas, where I suspect it will see more use.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

Hi Rob -

Congrats and good on Guyon for giving you a beautiful 110 to start your collection.

I carried these back in the 70's, this was really the only knife any of my buddies carried, a Buck Folding Hunter or, the one I preferred then and today, the Buck Folding Ranger (112).

Back in those days, we all just had the familiar black sheath on our belts and nobody raised an eyebrow.

Thanks for the picture, I think the folks here love all pictures of all Bucks, no matter how many have been seen before - at least I do!

best regards -
