Having read a few Wal-Mart Native threads lately, I just went over to the Wal Mart near my office to see if they'd have any.
Sure enough, Native, plain edge, CPMS30V.
I asked to inspect one, checked it out, perfect. Paid the man my ~40 bucks and away I went.
Sweet deal. This one has "user" written all over it.
I was thinking though, the way Wal-Mart displays their knives, how would the average joe know that the Native carried by Wal-Mart represents a pretty darn good deal?
I mean, if I'm just looking to buy a pocket knife, theere are plenty priced in that range that I might go for, yet none have the S30V featured. And if I'm just a dude off the street with little to no "knife knowledge", how will I know that?
Has Spyderco considered this? Sal? What do you think will draw buyers to the Native stocked by Wal-Mart when set among a horde of similarly priced, but sometimes lesser-quality pieces?
Just curious.
Glad I got mine though. Screaming good deal as far as I'm concerned.
