It has been about 2 years since my last Custom 110 purchase, so I was just horsing around with the 110 mix 'n match page. I thought, 'what would a good 'user' 110 look like. So, I chose S30V for the blade, as it is a good tough all around steel. I don't have an Oak 110, so Oak was elected for the inserts. Nickel has never really done anything for me, so Brass with rivets (I always have rivets) was the selection.
I sat there looking at the creation and thought, 'dang that looks good'! The Brass nicely picks up the warmth of the Oak and the rivets look like they belong with the Oak too. The next thing I knew, I hit the 'add to cart' button, threw a hat in for good measure and paid for it all.
Buck ain't dumb. They knew that guys like me are bound to play around on those 'create a knife' pages and be drawn like a moth to a flame. Next time, I am going to exercise some discipline. *That Heritage Walnut sure looked good too.*
