Yep, I finally broke down and bought the knife I have been eying for months. I'm a tough sell. I tore into the package like a kid at Christmas :)

The RC-4 is great. Since this is my first real fixed blade knife, I don't really feel worthy of giving a lengthy review in this company :o The build of the knife feels great. I like the mint green liners. Also, the knife came nicely sharp. Shaving hair was easy. I like the way this knife fits my hand.

I bought the MOLLE Back version, so I have that to play with. Also, I have been using a Lansky sharpening system for years; I need to learn how to sharpen the knife on my new DMT stone. ...and a lanyard... If anyone has a good link to some nice lanyard tying sites, I am interested.

I haven't been able to cut myself just yet :cool:

I also broke down and purchased the same knife with molle back. this will be my first RC and im pretty stoked about it. should be here Wednesday. congrats shooter. Google how to tie lanyards and you'll get tons of stuff.
 
Ordered one myself... RC-4 with the orange handle. Just checked and it's at customs. Should have it in a few days. :)
 
As far as lanyards go I would recommend a simple noose knot, it is basically what Chris Reeve uses on his sebenzas.
 
Buy some blaze orange paracord. Great for lanyards, and that little bit of colored string makes all the difference. So I haven't followed my own advice here, but the next time I get something from KSF, their blaze orange paracord is on my list mainly for lanyards + other cordage needs.
 
I too had just got my frist RAT an RC4 I love this knife so much I just ordered (backordered) a RC6 any one know why there back ordered all over the net?
with the RC4 i ordered the teclock clip,I like useing the lanyard to hold it on my belt better it's on that paper that comes with it.
I rember how impressed I was when I got my frist Becker,I'm even more imperssed
with the quality of RAT.
 
I think they are backordered because they just recently came out and everyone preordered them, so all the companys will be sold out for a while. I wanted a RC-6 too, but will have to wait my turn
 
That would explain it,untill then I'll just keep making small slices in every thing I see with my RC-4.the place I preordered from expects them in the end of this month,
a question for the R.A.T cutlery moderator,when will the RC-6 ship??
 
Some RC-6 knives have already shipped. Another large batch of RC-6 knives will be shipping to dealers on the week of October 27th.

Hey buddy - I got mine from KSF - but it was on backorder for a while (since April). I'm from Windsor just across the river from yoiu. If you want to handle it and all, just pop over the border....We can have a drink and play with some knives!

The RC-6 is a bigg mother blade!
 
So does mine! But it might come today, as the scheduled delivery date is sometimes a day off!
