I was just able to score a Hinderer XM-18, 3 1/2 inch flipper. My first impression was WOW what a knife. GREAT design and the baby fits like it was custom made for my hand!!!

The puppy is built like a tank throughout. I love the thick liners, overtravel stop, and the flipper acts as a great guard for my hand. The knife is very balanced in my hand and I can't wait to do some cutting with this knife. Great blasted finish on the blade. I can't say enough good things about this knife and it's great design.

The clip is a very nice design as well. I've clipped it in dress pants, a suit jacket, cargo shorts, and jeans. I never felt like it was loose in any of these carry situations.

The knife opens like butter with either the flipper or the thumb studs. I ran the blade over my UF rods on my sharpmaker. She cuts like a laser now.

Love the Spanto Blade as well. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it from the pictures that I've seen, but boy do I like it. This bad boy is just screaming USE ME!

I EDC a CRK regular sebenza daily, but I can see the Hinderer getting alot of EDC as well. Heck, I might be carrying both (I'm a big guy, LOL).

This is a huge compliment to Rick. My wife normally doesn't have much to say about all my knives, but she really liked this one. She thought it was too heavy for her (LMAO, no joke honey this wasn't built for wimpy folks!) She told me this knife looked like it was designed for me. She then told me she was glad that I bought this as she hadn't seen me this happy with a knife purchase in a long time (I haven't heard that come out of her mouth in FOREVER!!!). Glad to have the approval nod from the wife (this means I will be getting an XM-24 in the future, lol).

Rick, I know you know this already, but brother you hit a homerun with this knife design. I love it, love it, love it!!!

Awesome design, flawless function, and product perfection!

Here's a couple of pictures of my XM-18 (sorry for poor quality as this was taken with my EVO phone) with my favorite scales, POND SCUM, I also have bought a OD green and a smooth surface black scale to mix it up abit, but love the pond scum scales.

POND SCUM ROCKS!!!!

Congrats on the new XM. Watch out though they tend to multiply as bad as the CRK's do.:D

really like the handles,by the way, what's the weight of it. does it "carry" heavy? (in dress slacks)

Weight is 5.5 ozs, which might be too heavy for EDC for most. I don't mind the weight at all. I actually prefer it. I wear dress casual most days (Docker pants or Cargo pants). The XM carries well for me in these. The only thing that I don't think I would be doing is carrying it in a suit jacket. I do however carry/carried a Sebenza in Suit Jacket (Inner Pocket). When wearing a suit, I still have been carrying my Lrg Regular Sebenza.

I love the Scales on this. Like I said, I have a Smooth Black and an OD Green, but I simply love the "Pond Scum" look.
