A capacitive touch accessory. That way the non writing end could be used for tablets and such. That would be awesome. Just dreaming though.

Have you tried to use it as a stylus? I had been wanting one of the pens and would love to be able to use it instead of having to carry an extra stylus.

I was hoping the Investigator pen with the flat end attachment would work...

I have not used a stylis since the day of the Palm Pilot. It's all fingers on the screen these days.

Sometimes I draw things on my iPhone. A stylus comes in handy. And no it won't work cause the phone doesn't recognize an electrical charge.

Do you have a Frys nearby? I could tell you what to buy there for $0.49 & you could put the capacitive foam on the end of the pen.

There are cheapie iPhone stylus on amazon for like 2$ that do work on the iPhone. Don't know why but it was great for draw something.

Just wanted to dig out this thread and say "+1 on Capbyrds idea".
I ordered a brass investigator last week and would instantly order a capacitive touch end attachment for it.
Although fingers work fine with smartphones and tablets - now that it's getting colder it would be nice not to take of my gloves if I want to use the smartphone. Also, for finer tasks on smaller websites it would be brilliant.

Best regards,

ll.

Oh boy. IM PLUS 2 on this one!

All winter long I have my SS pen and a stylus with me.....if I only needed my pen that would be one less thing clipped to my shirt!

Love it!

why not buy the gloves that have the material that allows you to *touch* your smartphone, cut out a piece, and attach it to an end.

I may try this out now that it seems like it may snow soon. But a Hinderer specific attachment would obviously be leaps better :p

I have dumb fat fingers and would love a stylus option for the pens. I have been looking for a while now. Does anyone know of a simple way to mod a hinderer pen to include a stylus nib? Most methods I've seen involve sponges and water, which I don't like.

I know, this is an old thread. But this is the closest thing ive found regarding Hinderer pens and a stylus.

I'd love to get a hold of some O rings for my mini Investigator pen. It's such a great sized writing instrument, and the O rings would add to the grippiness while wearing gloves. Although, I could and will eventually spring for the Extreme Duty pen, the Aluminum version is the one I have my eye on, maybe a brass one would be awesome too. When you have to pick from the high quality gear, it makes the choice so tough.

Never knew deleting my pics from PB had a ripple effect but learned too late. "If" they would help I can re-take to add back to N2K's thread.

The O rings are comfy for writing and add to the grippiness without a doubt. I had them on my brass investigator for a bit. I just felt they detracted from the beauty of the pen so I took them off.

We tried so hard to get away from this.. Now we are running right back to it. Lol.

Have any investigator pen owners modified their pen to work as a stylus? Is there any aftermarket nibs for the back end the pen? Just wondering if it's been done before...
