I like big knives, I EDC an XM-18, XM-24 and lg Sebenza in my rotation. Over the past couple of years I've purchased the JYD 2 titanium flipper, ZT 0301, ZT0551 and 2, ZT 0560s.

All great knives to be sure. But I let them go to consolidate funds and purchase Hinderers & Sebenzas. There's only one of them that I really regret selling - my first ZT the ZT 0301.

What a magnificent beast that knife was. Maybe mine was a freak of nature or something but it was 100% perfect (I'm really anal about every bit of my folders) in every way.

It fired much harder than the 5 autos I've owned. So hard, that it was unbelievable that it was merely spring assisted!

I could just get my large size hands around it with comfort, it would sing through newspaper right out of the box with premium S30V goodness, honed to perfection, right out of the box.

The humongous blade always gave me the feeling that it would pry into the side of a house and pop off every thing in the way for me to gain entrance if I lost my house key for e.g.

My ZT 0301 was a bad mamma-jammar and I miss it like a 20 yr old pair of leather, fleece lined, house slippers.

Do you guys who currently own ZT 030x series knives concur? Or, was mine truly a freak of nature and if replaced, not to be expected to live up to my original's build quality?

I know that feeling. Most of my 0300 series are that way, or at least they are in my mind.

The 301 is one if my most wanted. I love the huge knives. And I hope to own one soon lol

I've still got both my 0300 and my 0301. I love those knives probably won't ever get rid of them.

0301 is in my pocket almost everyday. Mine broke in nicely and opens real strong now, truly an impressive beast.

I feel ya'!I sent my 0300 off to war with my son-in-law. But at least it's being put to good use.

I had considered sending mine off in a trade some time ago. Thankfully that never happened.

Alright! It's being put to the best of use and it'll either return to you or be a fine gift!

My 0300 is perfection as well. The fit and finish is mid-tech range and is perfect. If I had the choice to keep this or any other folder in my collection, this knife would be it; and I have crk's, spydercos, coldsteels, customs, etc.

Nothing feels as good in the hand, and nothing quite feels quite as bomb proof.

That's a great shot of a ZT 0300 user wolf5391! Very nice indeed. :D

I have recently fallen in love with my 301. Had it for almost a year and never really paid any attention to it. Now I carry it every day. It really is a knife in a class of its own.

I plan on ordering one for myself in the near future. Sent Dave a message the other day, hope to hear from him soon.

It's my birthday in about a month - hey, if I get the kids to pool gift money and ......... yup I gotta go and talk to the wife! :D

Dave sold me mine for a killer deal a while back. He is the man! I cant even touch a blem now for the price he gave me for one new.

I just finally decided after 3 years of contemplating the purchase of this monster, I decided yesterday I've waited long enough. I hope to be pleasantly surprised with how great my 550 has been.

Its a different beast than the 0550, but I guarantee you if you like the 0550 you'll love the 0300.

I miss my 0300 cause someone stole it :( closest thing to a folding Busse I've found so far
