But I cant for the life of me separate the whistle assembly that comes with the Izula Kits. When I got it for Christmas, I put it together to see how well the whistle worked, and I just now pulled it out of my drawer and cant figure ot how to separate the two pieces. I dont really want to break the thing. Is it permanent once you put the pieces together? Or is there something blatantly obvious I have to do to get them apart. I'd kind of like to put the whistle on the end of a lanyard but I gotta break it apart first!

The outer shell of the whistle snaps into the mouth piece part. There should be triangular shaped hoop like parts of the outer shell you and pry up on to seperate. You can use a small screw driver to pry them loose.

Takes some careful prying. Get it right when you put the lanyard on. It's even harder to get apart with the cord in it.

like the others said just use a small screwdriver to pry it apart. if you do break it or just need a few extra's itnexus will send you 5 for free to test.

take it easy

Are they still doing that? I thought they changed their website and no longer offer samples.

You're not dumb. I hate those whistles. But they are good whistles.

Mine shattered when I closed in the car door. It was one my Izula in the left leg pocket, boy did it make a pop.

They are a pain in the arse to put together and take apart, but for the size, sound and attachment options, I love em.

I did the same thing with mine - right now I have 1 locked aerowave and 4 locked aerohead and couldn't pry them open as well. RAT- don't send me any coz these once I bought from lighthound.

LOL I thought I was the only one. I bought a few of them and was checking out one of them and snapped it together and couldn't figure out how to separate it either. I ran out of patience and put it with the others in my box where I keep my lanyard supplies. I should dig it out and give it a try again.

Ha! Got it. I didnt have a screwdriver handy, but I had some fingernail clippers :) I held the whistle with the mouthpiece pointed up and slipped the skinny piece of the clippers down inside along the flat part of the whistle, gently pryed, and it slid out easily.

Thanks guys. Glad I'm not the only "whistley challenged" one here.
