Aly just called, she was hit by a drunk driver at 3 this morning coming home from work, her Ranger is totalled. She walked away from it, I love pickups! My family could sure use some good luck for a change.

Thank God she walked away from an accident like that. The Kiedaisch Clan is definitely due for some quieter times.

The bright point, besides her being ok, is how she described the look on the other drivers face when he saw her uniform.

Glad she is ok. People are valuable, stuff is just, well, stuff.

Hi Stomper -

I am very relieved to hear that Aly was ok after this incident!

I put my son in an old pickup as well - good protection I thought.

Your family certainly deserves some good luck - and perhaps it was good luck that kept Aly from harm.

best regards -

she can buy a Toyota with the insurance money! :D

on 4x4 Rangers & Exploders the front axle is weak from the hub bearings being way to close together. the transmissions also seem weak .

i've had two rangers and no more for me. they were falling apart by 100kmi.

the brakes are also much harder to change pads on than on the Toy.

glad she was able to walk away!!!!

Glad she was able to walk away, even if she's probably going to be sore all over. Hope things calm down for you guys!

When I saw the post I feared the worst. Here's to better days.

Glad to hear she is ok...but she's still gonna be hurting tomorrow

I crashed my grand am back in may (or April, one of the two) (and no I wasn't drunk; I swirved to avoid an animal and lost control of the car). It got complete front end damage, but I was lucky enough to get away with nothing but some really bad whiplash. Didn't hurt that night when I got home from the ER, but hurt for the next 5-6 weeks.

She may not have been lucky in that she got hit, but she is lucky she walked away un-injured.

Also, what is this uniform you speak of?

Sending all the luck I can round up your way.

Given that I've survived this long ... in my screwy career ... that should be a very large bucket-load of luck.

Use it sparingly, though. This is military-grade luck!!;)

[Glad to hear she's alright.]

Glad she's OK John, I think that IS GOOD Luck! Take care buddy and I hope Aly is feeling OK. I am sure she has had an amazing amount of advice, but I would reccomend a day's regiment of aspirin/tylynol etc to help head off the tightening up. If she is really getting stiff, she might get a prescribed muscle relaxer from a Dr.

She`s in law enforcement. I spent most of the day with her, even though she is 26, she`s still my little girl.

:thumbup::thumbup: John

Thank God for her! I'm glad to know she was able to walk away mostly unscathed. John, from another point of perspective, that is good luck. Although I would believe she'd be a bit rattled, she is safe now.

My prayers go out for you & the whole Kiedaisch family for some ease of life, peace & tranquility.

It would've been priceless to see the driver's face or see her imitate/describe it.
