I start out getting sticks then I fall apart.

When I first start practicing I get good sticks the first two or three times then it takes another dozen or so throws to get a stick again. I dont know if its my form or knife but would like insight from someone more experienced than me.Thanks:eek:
 
you might be spinning it with your wrist. Try to keep your wrist solid when you throw, without flicking it. It is the most common thing I see with people learning to throw.

Another common problem is most cheap "throwers" are too light and short. you should have blades at least a foot long overall, and heavier is better.
