Identifying an old watch?

Quick question. I have received a watch from a family members estate. I am looking for information on it such as year and possible value. Any good websites or resources for identifying older watches??

Is it a wristwatch or pocketwatch and what brand? If you have pics that might help as well.
 
It is a manual wristwatch made by IWC, gold. My camera is on the fritz right now, otherwise I'd have some pics up.
 
That's a very nice watch. :thumbup: IWC has a forum on their website, that would probably be your best bet. You can also check out the IWC forum on Timezone.com.
 
Jeez, guess I was born in the wrong family. Seriously though, sorry for any loss that you may be feeling. Sounds like the deceased left behind evidence of great taste.
