If you could only have one knife what would it be?

I put this in the Spyderco Forum because my choice would be a Para. I think it is the closest thing to the all around best knife you can find. I find it is actually more useful than the Military.
 
Even though I have recently obtained both a CF Military and a new G-10 version (just yesterday), I might have to agree with you on the Para. I really like both models, but the Para might just be the best all around knife in my modest collection.

If i could only have one knife it would have to be my Manix. I just love everything about it. To me its the perfect folder.
 
It'd be the Manix for me - even though I prefer a few others over it for EDC. If I was forced to have one then the durability, toughness and all round usefullness of the Manix would win out.
 
Right now the ZDP189 CJ I just upgraded in titanium for my own user EDC. But ask me again after the Jess Horn comes out and I may say something else.

You can't make me do it, I can't chose just ONE!!! It would be the Para and Dodo, as much as I carry these, they might as well be one knife:)
 
When I set out to purchase a lock blade, I was looking for one knife that would be the best all-round folder. I focused my search on Spyderco and Benchmade because of their reputation.

After doing extensive research on many different models from each company, I decided that one knife would be a Paramilitary and since then, I've never looked back. Besides all the obvious, great features the Para has to offer (i.e. S30V, G-10, secure lock, ergos, etc., etc., etc. :yawn: ), it was the full-size handle and practical blade length that ultimately won the contest. Second was that the knife is relatively light weight for its size. Oh, and it's good lookin'! :D

I agree fully, but only 2. I would be stuck on about 5

Thank the lord we dont have to make choices like this in the real world.

My biggest problem with carrying spydercos is that i dont have enough pockets.

Maybe i must buy some cargo pants and a fly fishing jacket.:)
