Reese Bose called you ,your name is up.What would you order ? What knife, would you ask him,to build.
I struggle with this.Please elaborate & don't be a Bose HO*G,only one.
Steel, scales, etc, spec. it out, Custom variants of thier catalogue knives are in play here
I'll catch uall in the AM ,see what you come up with

I'd probably order a stockman to go along with my sowbelly.

I love the single blade and double blade patterns but since these knives only come along every so often, a three blader like a stockman is hard to beat on a multitude of levels (and will retain a lot of value even after carry and use)...And I can tell you that Reese's sowbelly is a truly fantastic knife.

I'm just sayin'...

Definitely a Reese Sowbelly Stockman. The ones I have seen are beautifully executed with wonderful swedges on the spay blade and typically in a brown jigged bone. CPM-154 would be my choice of steel if available. I would like to see what one would like with the "Remington" bone though.

Good luck!

Canoe in Ebony wood with that sweet corset shield.

Ohh yeah that would be nice...

I like the looks of the Reese Bose 4 1/8-inch Copperhead, like that posted over in the A.G. Russell design thread.

Three blade Stockman with slant and threaded bolsters, Ebony scales, bulls bag shield with CPM 154 steel... Hows that grab ya' ?

Interesting question as I myself am waiting for a phone call from Reese (of course, I don't really expect it until 2014, but that's neither here nor there).

If Reese were to call me tomorrow, I would request a No. 21, Rodgers Wharncliffe Whittler. CPM154 blades, with some of that creamy Bose ivory for the scales. Just thinking about it makes me all excited.

If I didn't already have 1 it would be the Wharncliffe Trapper. At least 3 3/4" probably longer :D with some nice Stag. (but this bark is hard to beat) As far as steel goes... I like all the premium stainless ( ats, cpm, ect.) And also D-2. I sure do envy you with this dilemna ;)

I'd probably go with a #45 Northfield Whittler in CPM154 with polished antique tortoise shell scales and gold pins...in my dreams anyway.

Congrats on you turn coming up

Wow, I get to choose a Reese Bose!!!

Rogers Wharncliffe Whittler http://boseknives.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=447
or
4 Blade Stag Swell Center Balloon http://boseknives.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=555

Both of them are so different from standard trappers and stockmans
the whittler is so graceful
and the ballon is so compact

But since you are asking for one,

4 Blade Stag Swell Center Balloon
It is a unique pattern.

A knife, this complicated done right is a real piece of engineering
Where the art of the knife is in the tolerences
The smaller main blades and larger secondary blades, which appeals to me as a user.
Stag scales...

What customs can you have?
Now I am dreaming...
A wharnecliff instead of the sheepsfoot?
A clip instead of the spear?
Now this is the ulimate user!!!

Enjoy the angst of choosing!!!

I have seen some good (perfect) boseknifes pictured and as much as I now like bonehandled stockmans that could be the choise.
BUT.
If this was to truely happen I would think like this. If I have a Reese Bose custom it would be my by far best knife and it would be my most used knife, (Cant aford bying good tools not using them) The thing I realy want is a Shadow 3.5 trapper with clip and warncliffe (long sheepfoot if he wanted to do it). Jigged bone in the brownish coulour Ive seen him do or bright canvas micarta. Not to hard stainless steel so I could easily field sharpen it.

Almost as good as winning the lottery!

A recent post in the Old Knives section set my pulse racing...so it would be 3.75" Barehead Lockback, rat-tail bolster and liners in polished stainless 154 is fine, pins too. Some 120 year old stag scales that have been discovered unused in a desk drawer in Sheffield (these are complex, gnarly and popcorned)and an A2 or 1095 blade. Clip or Spear though?? Don't know yet.

I know you love your wharncliffe blades Vince. I will say though...the knives I've acquired from you show you like to use the pen blade as well. So...my choice would be a 3 5/8'' swayback jack wrapped in either stag or ivory.

I am with Neeman but lean toward the whittler. Sure hope it happens soon. I have been on his list for over 6 years now. I think anytime I win a drawing he moves me to to back. :D.
