Hey, what's this all about? I just casually ran my cursor over the little green box to the top right of where I had posted a message, and a tiny window opened that said I was an 'unknown quantity'. I passed the cursor over some other members little green box and found such things as 'on a distinguised road'. Or 'unrated'.

Did I PO somebody?

Somebody might have dinged you. I wouldn't sweat it, there are a select few around here that get p.o.'d over just about anything anybody says.

You should be able to see which thread you received reputation in the "User CP" screen.

"Unknown quantity" means you haven't accumulated many rating points. You might stay in that category forever; most of the Bladeforums guys aren't paying any attention to the new ratings feature.

Where is it found? I've dug through the CP without success.

That means he's had a few positive ratings.

You can do it. Click on the scale icon at the top of a post that you consider particularly good or particularly bad. You can write in a comment too if you want.

Sword & Shield, scroll down to the very bottom of your User Control Panel, where it says:

Latest Reputation Received

Under that you'll see the last five posts that got rated, and you can click on them to go to the post. Then click on the scale icon and you'll see whether the rating was positive or negative.

Thank you for the answer. I will not worry over it.

By the way... I just noticed after I posted this that now, I too, am on the distinguised road. I thank whoever is responsible for it. I simply thought that after 500 posts, there should not a question about me.

Moderators, you do a fine job here.

Phil

Thanks C. Allen,

I appreciate you're explaination. I did not join up to be popular though. I became a member to learn. And, perhaps in some small way contribute when possible.

I whole heartedly agree with, and second ttoothpick's comment on the Mod's. You all help make BF.com a great place to be a part of...

Abundant Blessings,

Anthony

Now, I'm confused. I clicked on CP, and started looking, and I can't find it.

Hmm ... maybe it isn't in your user cp unless you're a contributing member? If it's there it should be at the bottom of your User Control Panel, just above the forum jump line. The line is highlighted in yellow and it says "Latest Reputation Received" then "xx points total" and then there's an icon; if you click that icon you'll see the last five....

I, also, am unable to find the line "Latest Reputation Received" or any other reference bearing on the subject of "Reputation" anywhere in my User CP. Any help would be much appreciated.

In light of the above, maybe the "Latest Reputation Received" only shows up when the member has been rated. Mine shows 10 points when I click the scales, so I either am unrated, or have perfectly cancelled positive and negative.
