YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

I finally got my Road-Runner service back up and running. My room mate is one of 2 guys (according to the cable guy) who figured out how to fry a cable modem. The tech that left here said that he hasn't seen one do "that" in 8 months.

What does this mean?
No khukris for him!! (A man that frys my connection to the forum recieves no sympathy.)

Of course I am not a current threat to those in competition for the UBDOTDs, I am still saving for the Kukvention.

So, what have I missed?
(I guess I better go have a look.)

Dave:

I just got back from an all-to-short vacation meself, and I've been reading for the last two days! Man, alot goes on in these parts in a weeks time!

In a day or so I will be back on here with a Whole lot more speed. Not that I'm going anywhere in the meantime.:D

Got myself a new HP Pavilion with a 17" monitor that I'm already in Deep Love with. The screen doesn't continually jump around. I didn't know it bothered me that much until I used Cindy's
H.P.-P.
I figure it cost me about the same as 8 regular priced average khukuris.:D
And I have found through one of the kids and ISP that charges only $16.00 a month for unlimited service. That's less than my WebTV costs a month!!!!!!!

And since I'm probably one of those people that could screw up a cable modem I will stick with the phone line.:)

Cable is 39.95 a month, and it is faster than my school's T1 connection. If you know what you are doing you can hook up quite a few computers to the same line. ( Right now my room mates and I have 3 hooked up, and the bill is split 3 ways.)

Lots of fun and almost Zero waiting for 13 bucks a month. You know what that means....more UBDOTDs :D :D :D

Good for you, Bro. After you get settled in with the new HP I think you'll wonder how you ever survived with the Webtv thing.

I just moved into a new house and I haven't even had phone service for over a week  . I have to use friend's computers to check out the forums. It was getting rough after day five, so I feel your pain ;) . I hope you don't have anymore issues.

Matthew, they're all "Pink!!!!":o :D

And Bro you're already correct!!!!
I never got into the tech side of Cindy's computer, just used it to get here and to send an e-mail.
And I had no idea that so much is available!!!!!!!

One of the things I will be able to do now is download the Cherokee Font's and Syllabary.
And I will also be able to get and use a good genealogy program with all the charts and such.
I was doing it on paper and the list got long really quick!!!!

PJ will be over later today to get me hooked up on the ISP as she can do it while I would be sayin' "Huh or Where's that?" :D

Yvsa, the quote is from the Pink Floyd song "Have a Cigar." I get all sorts of replies to that.
