Sir,
actually, YES i did..but soon realized that maybe i had made a mistake by jumping a little too fast and following the herd. after reading what some other respected makers had to say about him i thought that maybe i over reacted...

so, i wrote to brad duncan (e-mail) and additionally apologized to alot of people in a public forum here. while some openly accepted it, others did not...

i spoke in length with larry b. today and he hit the nail on the head..i am too passionate about alot of the knives i acquire or try to accquire..and i guess it comes across as some sort of tactic used to acquire them..that is/was not my intention.

i have put my foot in my mouth quite a few times and do not or will not deny that...peole make mistakes and unfortunately i made quite a few in a short period of time.

it still bothers me not that larry davidson is mad at me..but, that i inadvertently misled and maybe disappointed him.

this was a hobby that i really wanted to embrace but, somehow alienated myself..there are alot of good stuff going on here and at USN..and i miss talking to some of them over there that i have traded and bought from on many occasions.

anyway,
this is a post about 3 quality makers..not my past mistakes.

luckily, some have afforded me the opportunity to prove my sincerity and i thank them.

Jerry, I like all three of those knives, but that Duncan is fabulous. I love the tip geometry. I don't think I have seen anything quite like it in the past. If there has been a picture of this blade style posted before then I have missed it.

Good to see that you have changed your mind about Brad's knives. He is a nice guy and he makes great knives. Just because he does a lot of self promotion does not diminish him in any way as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, I love the knives and thanks for the pictures.

I was not refering to anything other than your specific comments about this specific maker. I personally have no opinion on this maker -- having never touched one of his knives or spoken to the man himself.

I come here to BF for information. Like everyone else here, I have to separate the grain from chaff.

I also really like that new Duncan. Lots of steel in the blade, but well proportioned with a very innovative tip profile...thanks for the pictures U-Dog.., a nice rotation you've got there!

ExamonLyf,
the handle to blade ratio is great...i should also add that the Duncan has the sharpfusion stellite blade combination...

the picture of the Chew does not due it hustice...you have to see it to get a feel for it..the blade is the new s30v

the hall bounty hunter is s30v as well and speaks for itself...

:D :D :D

hey i'm going to school in texas in summer so i'll have to pick somtehing up hopefully, do u have those texas guy's web sites please thanks though. great looking knives

Here's a list of Texas makers I've compiled so far, Mhael:

Bailey Bradshaw: www.bradshawcutlery.com
Larry Chew: www.knifecorner.com/larrychew
Brad Duncan: www.duncanknives.com
Allen Elishewitz: www.elishewitzknives.com
Larry Davidson: home.swbell.net/dson/
Kevin Robinson: www.robinsoncustomknives.com

And I'm sure there are lots more. I think Larry Davidson has a newer site and Kevin Robinson's page is still in the works. Enough eye candy, though! If you plan on attending school in the Metroplex, you'll be close to most of these guys. Maybe I'll be sweeping one of their shops by the time you get here ;)

Fellow CA transplant,
Zero

You might want to add J.Pardue and Warren Osborne. They make some pretty decent knive too!
