I am happy to announce that...after next payday...I will be starting production of leather goods. I think the company will be called Cox "big wood" Leather...ok so maybe the name needs some work.

I got to thinking that I have several knives that i love and would carry more if they had a better sheath...Chris don't feel bad, but you Nessie's sheeth is included in this category. It just doesn't fit very well. I think its the fat scales (which are my favorite part of the knife) that throw it off.... I also realized that i could probably make allot of other useful items for my self and for you guys. After get paid I am going to place an order for some LW tools and give it a go. I will post up some finished prodects when i get them done.


Good idea? Bad idea? What do you guys think?
 
Give it a try, you may be on to something. A lot of knives are sold without sheaths.
 
Sounds like a great idea Alan. There is nothing like a custom sheath. One that can be wet formed to the particular knife. You don't get that very often unless its sent out or made after the knife has been done. I say go for it brother.

I have just been offered partnership at my former boss's two-man firm
Would not be making more money than I am now (working as employee for a larger competitor) so benefits are not immediately tangible

Life is all abut those big decisions. I wish you the best of luck. My only advice from having been there before is think/pray about it and go with you gut. Things always seem to work out for the best in the end as long as you are trying to do whats right.

lol you guys are killin me...I am going to be a knife maker when i have time and money to set up shop...think of this as a hobby. It would have to really explode for me to actually start a business. But don't worry if it does you will all get stock options :cool::P
