At least until tomorrow ;)

I was thinking we could do a thread on our favorite JK Knives while John's away.
I'm talking if you had to pick ONE out of the whole bunch you have.

Post a pic of it.

Mine would have to be this traditional Kephart John made for me, serial #2 in his line of traditional Kephart's. I find this one getting used the most and with me in the woods constantly.

What's yours?

Hi mrbear -

I would have to say that I would also choose my traditional Kephart.

I have used it more than any other JK that I have, and it was my first one.

This example, with maple burl handle scales, is #4 in the series.

Following is a link to more pictures of this fine knife if anyone is inclined to look.

Awesome knife. This is the one I have on order from John in August.
Another Kep, but I love the maple burl look.

I would have to agree that my Kehpart #1 would be my pic too,

but because that makes three in a row, I'm including the runner up if I couldn't have my Keppie. My big 'Ol JK Anniversary knife, I actually use it more than my normal size AK

I've probably used my JK Hiker XL more than any other knife but if I could only choose one it would have to be my Knatchet ! This is one knife I'd be quite happy to take as my only edged tool on an epic trip somewhere like Alaska. It's just so damn versatile !!!

I have the Hiker and the Kepheart and have a tough time deciding which one to put down. if forced at gunpoint to pick... OK, make it knife point, I would pick the Hiker. They both feel perfect in the hand, the Hiker was just the first to arrive! That being said, the previous photos of the Knatchet and the Anniversary knife, WOW, that complicates the next knife decision. I was sure I was going to buy a Camp Knife, now, I don't know which JK larger style knife to get!

I'm a sucker for smaller "EDC-type" blades so this is my choice.

I am with you on this one. I would have to say my Bird & Trout. It does everything I have asked it to and is very pocketable.

Do you guys remember this one? It's the UBOT (Urban Bug Out Tool). A very handy little pocket piece indeed.

Tough call. If I could only pick one, I think I might go with my ACEK.

My Hudson Bay is a better chopper, but the ACEK is light enough for general camp use.

By the way, I'm loving those Kepharts!

Best,

Can I ask the Specs of the Knatchet? What is the overall length, and with. What types of sheaths are folks using? Do you have a photo of your knatchet being worn?
Thanks
-sorry, I am sure they are posted somewhere, I just have been unable to locate them.

Not sure if John does the Knachet as a regular anymore but I know he works with you on special orders so.............................
