and thus was born the "Frambo" aka WildGoo 17 - one B/F'ing Texas sized Bowie for a Texan - it's to go with the owner's 45-110 13lb Shiloh Sharps....

The blade - by Tai Goo......(Frambo is Tai's name for this one based roughly on the Rambo blade style, but to be built in WG's frontier styling...)

The grip, which is on it's way, is an Elk crown courtesy of Ray Richard....

Once I get the stag in hand I'll post some more progress pics........oh yeah the blade is 12 1/4" by 2 7/16" x 16 3/4" overall........

Big John Frambo! :)

I like the whole frontier Rambo concept!

... can't wait to see the finished product.

The blade is from a piece of 5/16 inch thick 5160 leaf spring.

Now that's going to be a BOWIE with some meat behind it. :D

Can't wait to see the finished bowie & sheath.

Can't wait to see this one completed, looks like it'll be a massive piece...

Big honking John Frambo. Rambo wouldn't be worthy enough to carry this one!!! Can't wait to see it finished.

so this is what a KNIFE looks like. thanks I always wondered what one actually looked like

FWIW - the title was a tongue in cheek reference to Crocodile Dundee's line.....

Otherwise I'm chomping at the bit, but am waiting on the stag - Ray shipped it and it should be here by week's end - hopefully Sunday or Monday I can get started........

I had a feeling about this whole "Frambo" thing. :)
