Does anyone have any info on a Colt Search and Rescue gravity knife? I would like to add something like this to my collection, but I don't want it if it is junk. Is this a practical knife that can be used in rescue situation or is it more like a toy? I was looking on an internet site and it said that it retailed for 120 but they were selling it for 35. It was at onestopknifeshop.com. Any info would help. Thanks.......:)

Hi sticknrun, I ordered mine from 1sks.com. It's a big hefty knife made in Germany. There are a couple of things you need to know about it before you buy. First, there's blade wobble. In the open position, the blade will wiggle all over the place, but this is very common in gravity knives, so don't be surprised. Second, the serrations work okay, but the plain edge portion of the knife is VERY dull. It seems most German manufacturers (with a few exceptions) don't beleive in shipping sharp knives, so It'll be up to you to give the knife a decent cutting edge. Hope it helps.
