I recently acquired a R.J.Martin fixed blade knife and would like some info on it.
The knife has a 7" modified hollow ground, very thick stock. The blade finish and handle is typical of Martin and has a leather
sheath with belt loop for high carry on belt.
It is tan and very well finished like a
Randall sheath. I think the steel is D2.
Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you have obtained one of my traditional fighters. The steel is most likely M2, and the grind sounds like my Versa grind-full hollow grind up near the tip, and then hollow ground about 2/3 up the blade for the back-half of the blade length. Stock is probably 1/4". You didn't mention the guard, but, it's probably a canted double guard with a canvas micarta handle.
I havn't made too many of these-most are one-of's. I made the sheath, too. this was before I became allergic to leather dust.

Enjoy it-
RJ Martin
