I unluckily missed some issues of "BLADE" and the 50$knife project. Could someone give me some information on his "worlds smallest forge" and his receipe for "quenching goop". Thanks, Sammy.
The forge is a soft fire brick that has bin bored out and a second hole drilled at 90deg to the main hole.
The flame from a propane torch is fed it to the #2 hole.
The goop is a paraffin/oil mix, 40/60 wax to oil I think. The wax is so it will be solid and esay to transport. I've used the goop and it works fine. But I like olive oil better.
wayne's web is http://www.continet.com/goddardknives/
his e-mail will be on his web don't be afraid to ask him questions.
I'm still working on getting you some pictures of a portable propane forge I've moved and still haven't got back on my feet setting up
