I was sitting in the pub having some lunch and talking to one of the local farmers and somehow the the subject of skinning foxes came up. That led to knives and then he pulled this slipjoint out of his pocket and told me he always carries "this thing". I had a look and it was a Camillus.

Well, it wasn't exactly that one, instead of the long straight slit in the blade it had a smaller "moon shaped" one, so did the other two blades. Not sure what model it actually is.
Anyway, the thing was full of dirt, hard to open and all the blades were about as sharp as an axe handle. I asked him if he'd like me to sharpen it for him. Sure he said.
Took it home, got the gear out, cleaned it up, lubed the joints and put a really nice edge on all the blades. Even put a bit of polish on the blades and the brass bolsters.
Strange as it may seem, I really enjoyed myself, it was fun restoring something well used and in need of a bit of care.
OK, no big deal, but that was my Sunday.
