That the news you guys are waiting for at the main spyderco forum is the Spydanitza?:D

Or a high end Titanium frame or compression lock with ZDP?:D :D
If so it is (my idea )and you guys o me.:o
In that case, I expect the spyderco fans all over the world to put money in and buy this knife for me when it comes out.:D :D
OK, Lets not spread rumours.

I hope it is this prediction.:o :o

You are the harpy man, doctor :)
according to the book and film :)
That's not good news for me:)
My Taste is not that developed

I hope its a flat ground straight blade
:) with ZDP

Haven't heard that one!
A titanium A.T.R. would fit that bill, except for the ZDP. Can't complain about s30v, though.

No it wont.

The ATR is too tactical looking, its not a flat ground.
Me not love the ATR.

Where is the spyderco equivalent of the TNT or the Sebenza?

Sal has said several times that supply and production problems, rather than sales, were the reason the titanium ATR was dropped. Also, while I do not own a Sebenza, from everything I've read, the things that set them apart are the same things that make them expensive.

Given those two points, it might make more sense for Chris Reeve to license the round hole and offer Sebenza blades with it as an option, rather than having Spyderco produce such a knife.

I doubt Chris would do that. Main reason....he wouldn't want to be like everyone else. I said it before and I'll say it again...a round hole in a Sebenza is like painting teeth into the Mona Lisa...you just don't do it!!! It would be a totally new knife.

Actually, I still can't believe that beera is on this kick about the ZDP189465839DGF steel, flat gorund, round hole Sebenza!!! I gotta' say that he is persistent!!! ;)

You are the one who was mothering Chris over there and saying its impossible.

We are not talking sebenza here.
We are talking two great names working together and making a flat ground titanium blade with a whole in it.
with ZDP
:)

Sal doesn't need Chris' help with that.

Putting Spyderco and Chris Reeve knives together in a collaboration sounds cool at first glance, but one only has to think a little deeper to see it's not as good of an idea as it sounds at first glance.

It's like Cheeseburgers and Ice Cream.;)

Both products are excellent by themselves. Most people like Cheeseburgers(Spyderco), and some don't. Most people like Ice Cream(Chris Reeve knives) and again, some don't. Can't say everybody, because there will always be at least one person who disagrees.

Just because two products are good, does not mean that will be able to make an even better product when put together. You have to be careful with combinations like that, as you may end up with something worse than each individual component.

Mmmm....cheeseburger flavored ice cream, or ice cream flavored cheeseburgers. Do either of those sound like something that would be appetizing;)

You can't just put the two together, it won't work.

If Spyderco and Chris Reeve were to collaborate, the knife in question would have to be a completely new design, not just a previous model with a hole or framelock.

Remember, there are always custom makers ready and willing to do this kind of work. Why wait for a production company to make it?

I respect your view but disagree with it. I Think CRN needs spyderco.

Spyderco is like a bear and CRN is like a panda.

You know why the bear is so successful? because its a generalist. It eats everything.

The panda specialised in bamboo only and its endangered. It also doesn't have much sex with others :p anyway.

Specialisation is dangerous. The panda could learn a few things from the bear.

:)

beera,

You have started 3 threads regarding this one topic. Why? I think you need to get off this Spyderco/CRK collaboration kick. It will simply never happen and the sooner you get that through your head the less we will have to read multiple threads on the subject. CRK is CRK. Spyderco is Spyderco. They are like oil and water. They simply don't mix.
