Is MicroTech going to make a Tanto Tacyon?

Ok, I have been away from the bali forum for a while...
I saw his picture in a recent post, and it looks sweet!
Looks like MicroTech Tacyon handles, photoshopped w/ a BM 47 blade.

Is there any word from MicroTech about a new blade style?

As I recall, those were not official Microtech/Wow Inc. concepts but just someone's Photoshop experiments (and nicely done too.)

Notice that neither of these has a double tang pin. The tanto certainly has the BM choil and kick. The dagger appears to have a kick on only one side.

Mike has talked about expanding the Tachyon line with more blade profiles in the future. A tanto would not be high on my list of suggestions especially in light of the BM47.

I thought they were coming out with a nemesis style blade. Thats what I would hope for, but I know 1 manipulation and I could not do it with a double edge . Would the one side be a false edge or maybe false half way up?

As you can see. It was all meant to be a spoof.

As for the Nemesis, you should be abale to pre-order it soon. The original schedule was sometime last month, but Mike got a little behind with the shipment of the regular Tachyon's. Acording to Mike's last post on the subject, he did promise that we would be able to order it at the current advertised price of $249.95 for at least 30 days before he raise it to the new one. Not sure what finish was determined. The last Photoshop rendered version showed the Satin finished Nemesis blade.

As far as the tanto goes, that would be a dream for me since I love the tachyon handles and the new BM47 blade. If you look closely, my name is stamped on the blade (xjeffx) instead of the benchmade logo and 47.

And yes, the blade does have the BM kick and choil, thus, no double tang.

That was the reason for the vote a few months back. The Nemesis style will be first then a Tanto.

I don't remember a vote between a Nemesis and a Tanto. There was one between the Nemesis and a Kris, and I remember the Kris won!

So it should be for the Tachyon:

Bowie, Nemesis (dagger), Kris and then Tanto.

Mike, there wouldn't happen to be a modified nemesis w/ only 1/2 or so of one side unsharpened for flipping safety, would there? I guess I can dream - can't wait to see what MT tanto's going to look like. Thanks for the tachyon, really great bali.

Are the blades going to be avalible by them selves? So if I buy a tachyon now, i will be able to change to the tanto when it comes out?
The Nemesis will be awesome too. I'll need that blade as well Do you have any idea what the price for just the blade will be?

Oh, and are you going to come out with other option/upgrade parts?
Like true bearing pivots, or maybe Anodized Titanium screw sets. or different handle slabs? I could go on and on
