Is there such a thing as too many options?

I like to offer lots of options with my knives, and I have seen other makers do this, too. Is there such a thing as offering TOO many options? I figured the more options the better, but most people either buy something that is already completed or they say "What do you think would look the best?" I'm sure on true custom orders having options is nice, but a lot of people here, at least, just don't seem to care what the options are. Am I wrong?

Options keep it interesting!

Otherwise, we'd all be talking about one knife, wouldn't we?

The only problem is trying imagine what the knife would look like if you don't have one already built with all the options you're talking about.

I will often order a knife with very specific features in mind. I will just as often find a knife with an arrangement of options that I like.

Offer everything you can do as an option to satisfy those that know just what they want. Build knives to your own tastes as well, and you will probably find buyers with similar desires in a knife.

yes and no.

yes: It can get a little confusing.
no: It's nice to have the option. It gives you the chance to get real close to your perfect knife.

Never too many options! One thing I have noticed, many makers prefer one tpye of grind over another and stick with it. Some knives would not look as good or as work as well with a different grind, but on many knives it wouldn't make a difference.
